I'm here, alive and well. After a grueling trip, with cancelations and missed connections, I'm here!
The typhoon, Glenda, canceled my flight and then of course my connection, so I arrived at 2am on Thursday, July 17th. I was sleep deprived and jet lagged but warmly welcomed at the guest house of the Sagolili's. It is a delightful place to stay and they are delightful people. Here is the view from my room.
I had to make arrangements for Susie and me, since hotels in Cebu do not take dogs. I searched Air BnB and Nelson and Imelda Sagolili took a chance on us
I've enjoyed getting around so far. I've taken taxis, jeepneys and tricycles.
I had my first Thai massage today, the cost of $5.00 and one of the best massages I've had. Also had a manicure for $2.00 (85 Philippine pesos)
I report to school tomorrow. Still don't have a place to live, but I've narrowed it down and will probably make a decision tomorrow.
My biggest apprehension was the heat and humidity and I seem to be holding up okay. I take more than one shower a day, but I don't find it awful.
